The most recent project completed by the Tricel team includes the manufacture and supply of a cold water storage tank to Medtronics medical supplies in Galway. Medtronics were crucially important in the fight against Covid-19, as the company manufacture respirators.
Medtronics came to us on March the 30th with an urgent enquiry for a 3 x 2 x 2 cold water storage tank. Tricel were able to manufature, dispatch and install the tank within that same week.

THE CHALLENGE
Medtronics medical supplies – covid-19 ventilators
On Monday 30th of March, we received an urgent enquiry for a 3 x 2 x 2 tank complete with a drip tray required for the Medtronic manufacturing site in Galway. The company are manufacturing respirators which are hugely important in the fight against Covid 19 due to shortages across the world.
Medtronic needed to increase its manufacturing capabilities to supply additional ventilators to the health care sector. Extra water storage was urgently required to introduce three new manufacturing cycles to meet with this demand.
TRICEL SOLUTION
Due to the nature and time criticality of the job, our team manufactured the tank on the same day; our logistics team dispatched the tank for delivery on Monday evening. Our site crews were on site with the Medtronic team on Thursday 2nd of April to install the cold water sectional tank.
THE FINAL RESULT
Time criticality was a key factor on this project, our sales, manufacturing & logistics staff co-ordinated the teams and scheduling to ensure our product was delivered and installed on-site as quickly and efficiently as possible.
