Installation Guidance

1. Start by removing the damaged FRONT of the Gas box on your home’s exterior. Retain the current fixing bolts. Inspect the rear of the box for damage before progressing. If there’s any concern, please consult your local Gas provider. *Note: Interfering with the Gas Meter is strictly discouraged.

2. Align the Mark 1 Gas Overbox over the existing gas box. The rear galvanized metal bracket should secure the top of the Mark 1 Gas Overbox to the original gas box.

3. Use the existing bolts and screw them into the pre-existing holes. Tighten them just right — avoid overtightening to prevent damaging the new Overbox.

4. Test by opening and shutting the door, ensuring smooth operation. Once satisfied, lock it up, and you’re all set.

Delivery

Delivery is Free Of Charge (FOC).

Deliveries are made with 2 to 4 working days

The courier for a pallet is Dennehy’s.

The courier for a package is TNT.

 

Tracking 

Tracking is only possible with TNT. We will supply you by email with a tracking number, which you can track on TNT website.

For items being shipped on a pallet, please contact us for updates regarding your delivery.

 

Delivery time

Normal delivery times in Ireland vary from 2 to 4 working days once dispatched. If for any reason your delivery is delayed, we will contact you by email to keep you updated.

Please note that we do not ship products to countries other than Ireland and Northern Ireland. If you reside in another country, please contact us for further assistance.

 

Forklift requirements

All Electrical Enclosures and Plinths will be delivered on a pallet. The customer is required to have a forklift and someone on-site to offload.

The Electrical Meters Boxes will be delivered as a parcel.

A. This model is specifically designed for Mark 1 surface mounted gas meter boxes and upgrades them to Mark 2 standard. Always confirm measurements before purchase.
 
Q. What’s the material used in the construction?
A. It’s made from Glass Reinforced Polymer (GRP) — fire-retardant, weatherproof, and corrosion-resistant.
 
Q. Is the installation process complicated?
A. Not at all. Just remove the old door, align the overbox to the existing back panel, and secure with the existing bolts. No special tools required.
 
Q. Will this fit smart gas meters?
A. Yes, the upgraded Mark 2 door design offers ample space and ventilation for all current smart meter models.
 
Q. Can the overbox be painted?
A. Yes, the GRP surface is paintable and easy to clean, so you can match it with your home exterior.
