THE CHALLENGE
This case study looks at a site where the customer was looking for a solution to upgrade their old septic tank for their house. The customer had to comply with the EPA Code of Practice and install an environmentally friendly solution. The wastewater treatment system to be installed had to suit the specificities of the ground.
The Installation
The customer was required to replace their old existing septic tank. For this septic tank upgrade on wet ground they were recommended to have a pumped Tricel Novo 6 PE.
However, the customer location and the specificities of the area required an additional treatment system. The customer’s house was on a wet site, and the ground was mainly comprised of a high water level. Additionally, a stream was located at the back of the customer’s garden.
TRICEL SOLUTION
As there was a compulsory requirement to have an exceptional level of treatment, for this septic tank upgrade on wet ground, the customer chose our Tricel Novo Wastewater treatment plant and a Sandcel sand polishing filter.
The Tricel Novo wastewater treatment purifying level is very high, and so this product was perfect to meet the specificities of this project. The combination of a secondary wastewater treatment, Tricel Novo, and a tertiary wastewater treatment, Tricel Sandcel, meant the strict requirements from the EPA were met.
As there was a nearby stream, the water quality must be of a high level due it’s direct impact with the surrounding environment (taking special care of the nearby fauna and flora).
Tricel’s high-quality products made this septic tank upgrade on wet ground possible. The wastewater treatment system of the customer is now upgraded, updated and respectful of the environment.

The Feedback
During the first visit a few weeks later, the technician checked if the plant was working correctly and answered the owner’s questions about the system.
