Tricel Novo and Tricel Vento

Tricel Novo
While working on its wastewater treatment plant (Tricel Novo), Tricel came out with the idea of a trustworthy, robust, yet simple product that will fit everyone’s needs- no matter if it’s for a single-family or a light commercial application. We wanted a cost-effective product that could just be your go-to investment for every type of project. Even from a more technical point of view, we have been able to honour this mantra.
When it comes to the treatment process, it is happening in three steps, throughout three different chambers: the primary settlement chamber (primary treatment), the aeration chamber, and the final settlement chamber. In order to ensure a high quality and resisting plant, our Tricel Novo is made of SMC, a fibreglass-based compression-moulded material. It is a unique feature in the industry, that has proven to be extremely durable- regardless of the time and the climatic conditions.
Tricel Vento
With our Tricel Vento (septic tank), we have been acclaimed for its resistance and its blow molding process, which is one the most technologically advanced features available on the market. It is made of polyethylene which makes it lighter than most tanks on the market. Inside the tank, the wastewater treatment has been configured in a way where the solids will always end up settling to the bottom. Then, the domestic sewage water can go through the outlet pipe for its final treatment. Per the local authority request, you will need a designed area (percolation area) in addition to your septic tank to ensure a high treated wastewater quality.
Secondary Wastewater Treatment & Tertiary Treatment
Tricel Puraflo
For those of you who might need an extra wastewater treatment (sensitive sites), Tricel has been developing a secondary and tertiary module that you can add at the end of your existing system. The Tricel Puraflo treatment module is a polishing filter that will allow you to reach the required level of purification once combined with an aerobic treatment unit. We are using peat fibre to break down the effluents, which requires little energy. Once treated, the water flows from the Puraflo modules and disperses itself into the ground through a percolation area.
Tricel Sandcel
In addition to your primary sewage treatment solution, the sand polishing filter could be added as an extra polishing process. It is ideal for sensitive sites and areas.

- The system can be loaded at 60 l/m2 (very small footprint)
- Complies with planning regulations and council requirements
- Ideal for sites with restricted space as it is discharged to a gravel base underneath the filter box

WHAT IS PE ?
PE represents the initials of Population Equivalent. Population equivalent: conversion value which aims at expressing non-domestic applications in terms of domestic loading based on 1 person creates 60 g/day BOD5 and 150l/day. (Code of Practice: Wastewater Treatment and Disposal Systems Serving Single Houses (p.e. < 10), EPA)
DIFFERENT PRODUCTS SOLD BY TRICEL
Tricel Novo & Vitae
Both are wastewater treament plant solutions manufactured by Tricel. Wastewater treatment plants offer a superior quality of treatment. For example, the Tricel Novo comprises of three independent wastewater treatment zones and offers an average of efficiency of 95.9% BOD removal.
This is a higher treatment standard than the effluent from a septic tank. Please note: all wastewater treatment plants used in Ireland must comply with the EN12566-3 standard and all septic tanks must comply with the EN12566-1 standard..
Tricel Vento
The septic tank from Tricel is manufactured as a primary treatment. Designed for the settlement of your effluent. This product may need an additional treatment like the Sandcel or Puraflo.

WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE WASTEWATER PRODUCED?
The required standards are 20:30:20 BOD, SS, NH4. All Tricel produces exceed the requirements when tested to En12566-3 and comply with SR66.
