OVERVIEW
The Tricel TERO provides tertiary treatment of wastewater that purifies the treated effluent from a packaged treatment plant. Coconut coir is used to treat the water and clean water is then discharged directly into the ground.
Proven E.Coli Treatment capabilities in line with the new EPA requirements (<1000cfu/100ml).
The Tero is designed to work in partnership with the Tricel Novo for easy Plug and Play connectivity. It is a compact system that is easy to install & simple to maintain.

How does a Tricel Tero tertiary treatment work?
Stage one: Tero receives secondary treated effluent from a wastewater treatment plant. The Tero is designed to work seamlessly with the Tricel Novo but can be also used with third party products, providing that a pumped discharge with a dose limit is utilised.
Stage two: the pre-treated effluent is dispersed using an easily serviceable distribution network which ensures the effluent is distributed evenly and uniformly onto natural filter media. The effluent filters through the media and is treated by a combination of biological, chemical and physical processes. The treated water is transported to the soil at the base of the tank.

Tero is anenvironmentally friendly system that utilises natural, long-life renewable media. As a result of coconut fibre’s outstanding filtration capabilities, no chemical additives are required

Flat base for easy installation, one inlet connection from wastewater plant. Reduced discharge depth and area, thus reducing contractor expense and costs.

Installation
The Tricel Tero is suitable for sites with:
- High water tables as it can be installed above ground
- Ideal for rocky ground where you can’t dig deep
- Perfect for areas where a percolation area isn’t possible due to poor ground or small areas
- Where site conditions allow, the Tero can be buried.

Certifications
Tricel wastewater treatment plants are fully tested and accredited to European standards for CE certification. The Tricel Tero tertiary treatment system meets with EN12566-7 requirements which test both the quality of the components as well as the overall performance of the plant.

Tricel Novo & Vitae
Both are wastewater treament plant solutions manufactured by Tricel. Wastewater treatment plants offer a superior quality of treatment. For example, the Tricel Novo comprises of three independent wastewater treatment zones and offers an average of efficiency of 95.9% BOD removal.
This is a higher treatment standard than the effluent from a septic tank. Please note: all wastewater treatment plants used in Ireland must comply with the EN12566-3 standard and all septic tanks must comply with the EN12566-1 standard..
Tricel Vento
The septic tank from Tricel is manufactured as a primary treatment. Designed for the settlement of your effluent. This product may need an additional treatment like the Sandcel or Puraflo.

WHAT IS THE QUALITY OF THE WASTEWATER PRODUCED?
The required standards are 20:30:20 BOD, SS, NH4. All Tricel produces exceed the requirements when tested to En12566-3 and comply with SR66.
