Septic Tanks

Septic tanks Ireland, locally manufactured waste water treatment systems

Overview

This market-leading product is known for its high strength and its blow moulding technology, which is one the most advanced processes in Ireland and not only. The Tricel Vento Septic Tank is made in response to your needs. If It needs to be combined with the appropriate disposal system, the treatment of the wastewater operates in a way where the water discharge (the solids) will be drawn to the bottom, forming a sludge. Once the solids have been separated from the soon-to-be treated water, it will go through the outlet pipe for the final stage of treatment.

How does a septic tank work ?

Inside our Tricel Vento, the waste water treatment operates in three steps.

Stage 1:
Wastewater flows by gravity into the tank and is diverted downwards with a T piece where the solids and heavier material settle to the base of the unit. A small amount of anaerobic breakdown occurs at this stage.

Stage 2:
The lighter solids float to the top and form a scum and an outlet pipe fitted to the unit ensures that only the liquid element flows into the percolation area. This specifically designed dip pipe prevents the scum from passing into the percolation area which may result in blocked pipes.

Stage 3:
The effluent exits the septic tank for its final improvement as it penetrates through the specially designed percolation area.

Discover the whole project from the very beginning.

Following the decision to extend Claran National School, the site engineer Patrick J Newell recommended an upgrade of the current wastewater treatment system.

This decision has been taken in order to identify a new suitable wastewater treatment solution and upgrade the existing septic tank installation in line with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) guidelines.
